are sams/costco take & bake identical to the food court ones? or is my oven just shitty?

Home ovens are not meant to cook Pizza, Pizza WILL NOT come out good in one. They don't get hot enough, the best Pizza made in a home oven will be nothing more than acceptable. It won't be bad but it won't be anything worth talking about.

Tis the truth. I believe Italian regulations for Neapolitan pizza is around 900 degrees F.

I live within walking distance of a costco (basically in the same shopping center) so I eat there a lot. Pizza is pretty good but I'm not the biggest pizza guy. What I go for now is the chicken bakes, they are my favorite.

hmmm those are good too. Carne Asada bakes and that Turkey Pesto sandwich are great as well.

Not impressed with the pizza personally. If I was feeding a family of 5 obese people I could see the value in it. My wife and I ordered a costco pizza once and it literally took 3 days to eat it.
The turkey sandwich is delicious. My favorite has to be the no fat yogurt swirl. I get one of those every time. Free samples and a $1.50 yogurt swirl always fills me up.

yea the pizza is awesome, When I get a slice of pepporoni I always go over to the onion despenser they have for the hot dogs and load up my slice with onions. ummmm so good.

I'm heading to Costco today and might get a pizza to bring back home. Going to go swim 25 laps now in preparation for future pizza binge. 25 laps should negate...possible 1 slice 🙁

Making pizza at home is also surprisingly great. You'd think you need a great oven but my oven sucks and the pizza comes out really good.

Speaking of Costco. Don't buy Kirkland mac & cheese. It tastes like cardboard.

My kid and I agree. Kirkland Mac & cheese might be the worst product they sell. It's downright terrible which is surprising since most Kirkland items are great.

Bump for sauce.

For the price, no one can beat a Costco pizza.

Walmart's that have the hot food section have an equally sized pizza that's has Peperoni, Sausage and BACON. It's $1.50 a slice and the whole pie is like $3 cheaper iirc. Both are pretty crummy as far as pizza goes, but for the fact it has bacon the Walmart one wins every time. It's a shame many people will shit on it without even trying it since it's from Walmart, because it's pretty fucking good.

My Walmart has pizza by the slice, they have a delicious one with Pepperoni, sausage & Bacon. $1.96 a slice and they're huge.

Hrmm.... few years later and cheaper? Methinks you are delusional on the price and quality of Wally-World crapzza.

Nope the price went down, I had a slice the other day and had to update the thread. Walmart has rollbacks on lots of shit all the time. It's possible the slices are now smaller, but the 2 I had were at worst close to the ones I use to eat.

Well do they put their sauce on it like this?

I used to be a Walmart employee years ago. I know the quality of employee 😛

I'm 100% certain the quality's severly lacking. It doesn't compare to a good pizza, but neither does Costco. They're both good in the context of being ghetto cheap pizza. Thew Walmart one does compare easily with the Costco one. In a blind taste test I bet people would like it, it tastes decently good.
