So the Costco board isn't just a board full of wankers. They're pushing back on the anti woke assholes.

Good to see. I have always heard and read that Costco treats it's employees well and it is a good company to work for.

Costco is pushing back — hard — against the anti-DEI movement

"The conservative think tank, the National Center for Public Policy Research, that would require Costco to evaluate and issue a report on the financial risks of maintaining its diversity and inclusion goals. The group criticized Costco for possible “illegal discrimination” against employees who are “white, Asian, male or straight.”

Bunch of jamokes.

My favorite retailer. Quality, variety, good prices, surprises, those complimentary samples, cheap gas, happy staff, 5 1/2 miles from me, a lot to like. Been a member for over 30 years.

"The proponent’s broader agenda is not reducing risk for the company but abolition of diversity initiatives.”

Yup.

Yup.
And I hear they pay their employees more of a reasonable wage

We've been Costco members since they opened their first whse in Modesto...1989. We now live 75 miles from the closest one...doesn't really make sense to maintain the membership...but we do.

I live in a general area with a basically white bread demographic, yet I can tell you if there was some mythical boycott by Asian shoppers there, they'd lose half their business. Costco is my favorite business for everything they do.

Politics aside Costco is a great place to shop. Just be careful of perceived deals that aren't deals.
I got a bad package of alternator sized bulk beef and they took it back no questions asked
Nice throwback reference 😀

Here in California, I bought a special, 'twas a couple of big bottles of tequila at Costco and got home and researched and realized it was pretty cheap stuff and wanted something better. Brought them back (unopened) and was informed that California law prohibits refunds on alcohol sales. So, I still have that cheap booze.

Save it for parties. I have a bunch of kirkland red and whites saved for when we have a ton of people over

My base spirits for cocktails come from Costco even if I don't buy the Kirkland brand (which actually work fine for most purposes imo). Simply impossible to beat the deals on name brand 1.75s. They also often, at least in CA, have a very good whisky selection at the best prices going.

I more than make up for the subscription price every year just by the savings on gas alone. The savings in the warehouse are just icing on the cake.

Fucking California

My dad blew a tranny he got from Costco.

Did it have a happy ending?

The costco I go to in south jersey must allow everyone to fill up gas at their pumps due to some local law i think, including non-members. the lines are always batshit insane and sometimes i dont' feel like waiting.
