Oven?
You'll have to experiment. 😉 I would probably start with dipping them in a low-acid solution to prevent excessive browning, and then into the oven at low heat. Who knows? You might even be able to do it just by pointing a fan at them on a rack.

One of our great loves here at Trader Joe?s is discovering
things you?re unlikely to fi nd anywhere else. We think
we?ve done just that with our Toasted Apple Slices.
These unusual little treasures are made just for us by a
small, family-run operation in Chile. They begin as
slightly tart, but otherwise unassuming Granny Smith
apples. The apples are dried slightly, then lightly salted
and toasted until they?re just golden. What sounds like a
strange idea results in very crunchy apple slices that taste
suspiciously like chips ? yet the only thing they?ve added
is a touch of salt. Trader Joe?s Toasted Apple Slices are
completely fat free and completely delicious (some might
say addictive ?we?ll leave that for you to decide).
We?re selling each four ounce bag of these tantalizing
treats for the terrific price of $2.49, every day.

I think I know what you're talking about... I've gotten them at the grocery store, I think Sunkist made the ones I've gotten. No idea what aisle they'd be in.
They look like this, right? http://www.trainafoods.com/files/dried-apples_1.jpg
You can get a variety pack with multiple types of fruit in the same bag, or just apples. I love the apples.

Those look like the crunchy kind, I have a bunch of those and eat them myself with lunches but I'm looking for the chewy kind.

My Costco had a few bags left the other day, but they are a deleted item and they had them marked down to either $2.97 or $3.97.
They were in a green bag and had three different varities of apples in the bag..... Pink Ladies, Granny Smith, and one other kind that I can't remember.
