I am running low on extra virgin olive oil.

Costco (Kirkland) is $5.50/liter
Filippo is $5/liter

i am very surprised that the Costco brand is more expensive per unit price than the name brand.

Anyway, which would you choose? WHY?

They're actually pretty similar. I use Filippo myself (bought a bottle yesterday). Bad olive oil can have a "plastic" taste. This is nice and mellow.

After thinking about it, I want ALL of my food to be virgin, not just my olive oil. The thought of someone's dick in my food before it gets to me is disturbing.

I have to say that when I first saw the color (the green-ness) of the Costco Kirkland brand olive oil mentioned here, I thought to myself that it looked like the oil my cousin in Italy presses from olives grown on his land (His oil is absolutely fantastic). The Kirkland one is really is a nice color but I have never tried it yet, may have to bother a friend with a costco membership and see what it is all about.

A lot of Costco store-brand products are pretty good. And yeah, I know that their olive oil isn't really top tier but calling it crap is silly.
