Costco and Vizio

Did someone set up Vizio the bomb?

I haven't looked at TVs at all since I bought my Vizio a couple of years ago. Today, out of sheer curiosity, I decided to check out what kind of Vizio TV I could get for the same money ($1000) I paid for my Vizio 42" 1080p 2 years ago. Whoa! No Vizios at all. It's not like Vizio went out of business - this year's Superbowl was stuff with their ads. How come Costco dropped them?

Damn! I swear, I checked Costco.com like yesterday or a day ago, and not a single Vizio there. Weird.

I check it all the time looking for a deal on a Vizio.

How good are Vizios though? Compared to Samsung and such?

I am sure Vizio is as good as any. If mines didn't have 2 stuck pixels I would have been ultra-happy with it. It had a beautiful picture, and seemed to be built to last. The only reason I bought an LG afterwards was because it would have been a PITA to take a trip to Costco to buy the same TV again.

One thing I did notice though, is my LG has an enormous amount of options dedicated to picture settings, almost overwhelmingly so. The Vizio was just straightforward, offering nothing more than basic changes in comparison.

Also, Vizio is the only manufacturer that offers a 0 stuck pixel policy on their higher-end sets. That is an awesome policy that I wish every manufacturer would follow.

UGHGHGHGHHH. I cannot stand watching movies in 120Hz. It makes them look like a live camera or something.

I guess for sports, it would be really nice though.

Get a plasma, and then you don't have to worry about motion blur.
