Anybody have any opinions on this HDTV that Costco will have on sale on the 11th? I know its not 1080p but was thinking about just putting it in the spare bedroom.

Any good? Reviews?

I plan on buying this for our bedroom, I can't wait.

Ripped from FW:

Costco has a Sharp 32" LCD TV for $650.00 starting next monday. The model number is LCC3242U. I looked everywhere for reviews and could not find any. The closest number I came across was LC32D42U. I am assuming that this TV is the same as LC32D42U, but made for warehouse stores.

The costco lcc3242u is the same as the sharp lc32d43u, but with a matte black finish and a silver stand.

so tempting. but seeing as lately every other month there is a great deal on an LCD does it imply lcd prices going down anytime soon?

When does the sales start? I went to Costco today, and it was listed as 799.
Silly me. Our grand nagus already told us that it starts on Monday. I'll probably visit Costco tomorrow and grab it.
Thanks,

How good of a computer monitor would this make? Assuming you bought a HDMI video card.

Monitor, not so good. The resolution is low for a monitor at 1366 x 768.

Nope, it's B&M and online. 150.00 off coupon is in the Costco booklet I was mailed. It's good from 6-11 to 6-17-07.

That's another thing I love about this deal.

Most of the previous LCD HDTV deals were online only. I like getting that instant gratification.

We'll probaby buy ours tomorrow night

What's your video source?

Have you tried the QAM tuner?

I have watched video from OTA antenna (HD), DISH sat receiver (standard def), and upscaling DVD player. All have good PQ.

Have not tried QAM tuner.

We bought one yesterday, hopefully we'll have it hooked up by this weekend.

If you're in the market for a 32" LCD HDTV, buy it now! Remember CostCo has a generous 90 day return policy.

picked up one last night... went form olevia 26in lcd to this one... still going through the settings on the aquos... haven't found the optimal settings yet.

I have basic (comcast) cable and only watched one show on HD... Jay Leno... the picture was pretty damn amazing.

Love the QAM filter =) as well... got some special channels.

Great bedroom set... watched a couple upconverted 1080i dvd's and it was pretty nice.

good buy... try it out for 90 days and see for yourself

how far do u sit/sleep from the screen?
do u think you could have gone up to 37" instead of the 32"?

I'm asking coz i'm in the same boat.

there is no costco in upstate NY but i'm going down to NJ next weekend and there's a costco just 5 minutes from my friend's place.

it is strange that i'm thinking about upgrading my bedroom tv first rather than my main room tv.
must be the sun....
