I am using my pc to watch downloaded movies and dvd's at 1366 rez. It looks great!!! The QAM tuner is picking up some great free HD channels (several in vegas like TNT in 1080i). The speakers I dont use (and wont), and that remote does suck. I have one stuck red pixel on the right side of my screen, but I dont want to bring it in for replacement because I might miss the superbowl. Anyone had to return theirs yet? What the turn around time?

You mean small computer 2.1 setup or are you gonna get a 5.1 reciever? I am using a reciever to run all my sound for this TV.
I use some some old altec ATP3's (2.1 setup)with my computer that are great. If you look around the forums (or avsforums) you will get lots of good advice. Just about anything is a step up from the stock TV speakers.

Something to consider with speakers. If you ever plan on going to a HD source, the sound from that is in 5.1 so you may want to think about that before buying something that won't fully utilize the sound your tv can produce.

For now I'm holding off on any major decisions until I decide on an HD source.

Okay, I've checked both Costco and the manufacter's website and can't seem to find the answer to my main question: does this TV have a sleep timer?
It sounds trival but if I buy this TV it will be my bedroom box...I go to sleep every night after setting the sleep timer and noding off...no sleep timer would be a deal breaker for me...you'd think every TV would have one...but after checking around it is hit or miss with LCD boxes...

Yup, it'll cycle through 15, 30, 60, 90 & 120 minutes. The cheapo remote it comes with even has a dedicated sleep button. That's nice, on my older TV I'd have to go into the menu system to do that. Also, you can program it to turn off (and on) at a specific time, if you'd rather do it that way, but you have to go into the menu for that.
On a semi-related note, it seems the TV will turn off automatically after a period of time if the signal source goes away, which I like. I've turned off my Tivo or DVD player but not my TV, only to have it turn off by itself after a few minutes.
This TV sucks ass. I purchased one at X-Mas. I was going to return it, as I found a better deal, but I kept it for the bedroom. It already took a sh!t on me. Colored lines all across the top and about 4" down. Also had 2 large gray circles in top left corner. Nice to buy a TV and have it die not even 2 months later. I took it back to Costco and went with this one http://www.vizio.com/products/detail.aspx?pid=16. It totally blows the Septra away.
Ordered one this past week. Deal is still alive. Shipping says it should be here this coming Wednesday. Going to wall mount it and use QAM to see the locals.
I got the TV and scanned and programmed the local OTA HD and the TV looks great at 1080i. I bought this one for work. I might have to buy one for the house to put in my bedroom. Can't go wrong on a TV like this for $600 with free shipping and "lifetime" warranty!!!
