COSTCO: 2(!) power inverters $24.99

As many here know, Costco is a warehouse club with a $45 annual membership fee. Some of their deals though make it easy to recoup this fee very quickly. Case in point:

These are small (70W) devices that invert car power from 12V DC to 110/120AC. Ideal for small appliances like notebook PCs or a small boom-box or your cell phone - no need for individual car adapters, just use your 110V power plug.

I have seen these for around $30 a piece - $25 for two is great - one stays in my car the other one travels with my notebook.

yes, do tell what the brand/sku is! I'll tell my parents to go pick me up one asap...I'd go myself but there isn't a Costco's around for hundreds of miles here since I'm away at college =(

It is a 175! watt inverter for $25 + $5.55 for shipping. This will power like 2! Laptops😀
Xantrex XPower Micro Inverter 175
!
Specs say 140 watts continuous which is still pretty good. The question is, is this the one that is at costco where you get TWO for that price? I'm thinking this is a much better one than whatever the first post guy was talking about.

The brand is vector - there are 2(!) in the box and it's specified as 70W - they are the small type that plugs right into the cig lighter outlet. This is B&M not sure if available online but I doubt it.

The Coleman one is the only one that I could find in my store...anybody have an item number on the Vector branded ones?

For those in the midwest, Menards had 400W inverters for $19.99. There was also a $5 rebate being offered, but it may have expired by now.
I don't recall the price for the 600W inverters. Maybe $30 or $40.

I bought the 400W. It works great. Great for the price.

Not sure if this is the number you want, it was by the UPC symbol and did say "item #669437"

if I buy this pack of 2, anyone want one for $15 shipped?
I only need one to power some misc stuff via the cig outlet.

yes the brand is vector. it is similar, if not exactly this: http://www.seenontvmall.us/product/205461 except you get 2, and they're packaged in the costco's signature impossible-to-open-without-garden-shears plastic encasing.

i bought this a few months ago, and it works great with no problems powering my new compaq x1000 laptop. i especially like it because of the "swivel tip" so you can tilt it upward... nice & small as well.

This is perfect timing as I was just planning on a trip to Nevada next month. Gonna have to take advantage of the Costco-style return policy to see if it'll actually fit in my car (03 sentra) the way it has the power outlets set up. Great find!

If you have a Fry's near you, they regularly have inverters on the cheap--they had a 400 watt inverter from Coleman for $10 (regularly $50) after rebate. Last week they had a 100 Watt unit by Wagantech that is similar to the one linked above--i.e. it's a small, single-piece unit that goes into your cigarette lighter (i.e. no cords)--for $10 after rebate (sale price was $17, down from $30, with a $7 rebate).

Keep an eye on their ads if you're interested--they run Friday-Tuesday, then there's an ad on Wednesday covering Wed. and Thurs.
