Costa Rica pics.

I just got back from my awesome Costa Rica vacation in Liberia. It is the first all inclusive that I have been to, the foods was good, and the booze were free. The view was great, but nothing compare to the people/friends that I met, as well as the well mannered Ticos, and the fauna.

Please point me to a free image & video with private hosting site (several GBs of pics and videos), and simple video editing software for video editing (shot in 720p).

Arrived at Liberia airport, Costa Rica.

Came across these on my first run on the beach.

Look out the hotel lobby, while I waited to book my tours.

Drinking a strawberry daiquiri while waiting to get a rental car at the hotel.

Killer hill up to the hotel lobby (they have free bus/taxi service for fat lazy tourists that run every 15 minutes).

Monkey Island (fishing trip).

This image was taken just before we lost a fish (I have to look at the video closer to see what it were), snag a barracuda. Before we saw a pod of dolphins, humpback wales (mother & calf), a dozen or more green back turtles, and jumping sting rays.

I have many much nicer images, but unfortunately an anal retentive French chick convinced many people on my trip to not let me post my pictures with them in it.

Beautiful! How was the fishing? Heard Costa Rica has some of the best fishing in the world.

Great fishing, beautiful beaches, legal prostitution. Pretty much single male paradise. Sounds like you had a good time.

huh?

edit: lol, didn't know that Liberia was a city in CR.

Yeah, that French chick and her friens are SOL, you are free to do with the photos as you choose (at least in the US you would be, can't imagine that Canada is much different.

You could also photochop funny horse faces onto them or something 😀

Unless you are currently sleeping with said anal retentive French chick ... WTF?😡
I was quite irritated by the French chick, and she was the lame wrench between her best friend/roommate and me.

The room mate is a Hot! Polish chick that live in London England and have a beautiful soft spoken Polish/Oxford accent.

I had a great time with the Polish/English girl, and she changed all of her itinerary so that they all match mine for the entire time that we were there (we ditched the French chick most of time that we were there) 😉

The fishing was okay. We lost a fish and snag a barracuda. The fishing guide and captain didn't interact with us tourist at all (5 tourists, and we paid a total of $950), and they gave us some beer, sandwiches weren't made (some wonder bread, cold cut/spam, 3 tomatoes, mayo, and some beer were tossed into a cooler).

IMHO, it was the worst service that I have ever gotten on all my vacations.

However, we saw many turtles, whales (have videos), dolphins that came right up to our boat (have videos), sting rays that jumped 4-5 feet into the air (summersault to avoid predators), and sea birds.

I especially liked all the ads and billboards down there telling tourists no to have sex with their children. It was funny and strangely concerning at the same time. Beautiful place though.

ps - your bait was needle fish, they're everywhere down there.

Yeesh, that must feel awkward if you're there with a SO.

One taxi we took the driver had his "daughter" with him, she couldn't have been 13. I got the impression they were on a date and we were just along for the ride. There was a vibe that just didn't seem right.

Nice pics. I was there about six months ago, during rainy season, and we had mostly clouds for the whole week.

As for video editing, you might try Avidemux. It's a free download, and does the basics of editing, shortening clips, adding fades, etc. A bit esoteric, so google some tutorials and you should be good to go.

Nice pics.

The two kids on horse back, so cute. Are they twins? Hopefully, one day I will have twins girls.

Sure definitely, Liberia is very close to popular Tamarindo and its surrounding beaches and it is also becoming the preferred city to fly into if you are going to the new resorts in the Papagayo Gulf, only 30-40 minutes away.So enjoy your vacation in Costa Rica - Liberia.

Thanks for the video editor suggestion. It worked well for cutting & merging, but doesn't have any fancy tools such as fade, etc...

sounds like a great vacation, how was the hot mud bath?
It was the best vacation that I have had. I met more people on the Costa Rica all inclusive resort than all other vacations combine.

The mud bath was okay, it wasn't anything significant compare to the rest of the vacation. However, I saw a troupe of white face monkeys chasing a sloth and a beautiful orangutan (in the wild) while I was at the the mud bath.

They do look like twin to me as well.

wow nice pics and sounds like a great place to relax..
It was a great trip, and I was having too much fun to relax.

More pics of people

Yeah, it was a great vacation. There isn't much in Liberia, but the surrounding area are great, national park & animal reserves, volcano, and beautiful beaches such as Tamarindo (the surfs was a bit small 4'~5').

Nice trip; Been thinking into posting some pictures from my trip in Europe
Thanks, and please do post your EU trip pictures. I haven't been to the EU, but would love to visit in the near future.
