costa mesa banana republic price kills

the costa mesa BR has price killed a lot of the men's winter items. the prices are extremely low. i'm talking about $100-$200 priced stuff going for $5-$15.

i was told there was no indication this was for any other store. since this store in particular received a lot of merchandise from the other smaller stores, they needed to clear these bulky items to make way for the next season's clothing.

they generally have more of the L or XL sizes but you'll be able to find some M sizes too.

i suggest you go there quickly. i know people were clearing out their stock of smaller sizes in a matter of minutes.

yeps, they still have winter/fall items.

since i typically shop off-season, it's good news for me. 🙂

OP, saw your post and went down to check it out. Just got back now and I made out like a bandit. I would have paid $570 without the sale, but with the sale...only $54. That means I only spent 9% of the total cost!!!! For example, $148 dress pants I got for $15.

Sweet deal. I start work soon, so I needed some new dress pants.

Thanks OP!!!

 NICE!!!!

went there also early in the morning around 11ish . I got about 800 dollars worth of clothes for...75 dollars. I'm pretty sure i got the same 148 dollar pants for 15 that Mentat got.
Awesome sale, too bad it'll be the only time i go to banana republic unless they have a similar sale again - the workers were really nice and it was awesome to get quality customer service at dirt cheap prices

Yes, the customer service was top notch. It was the little things, like Jackie (my sales representative) came and told me "Hey, I'm going on my break for 15 minutes, I'll be back soon. If you need any help, feel free to ask Anthony for anything' ::big smile::. Or in another instance, their was a couple ahead of me buying cloths. I was waiting less than 2 minutes when the girl behind the desk said "Excuse me sir, I'm sorry for the wait. I just wanted to let you know I called another clerk, she should be here shortly."

Great service. I suppose that's what well paid workers look like, HAPPY!

I just went to BR in South Coast Plaza, but I could not find any big sale clothing. Did I go to wrong place? maybe I was too late for it...

ahhh....

there wasn't a big sale. They had 4 sections or so. Two sections for winter wear, a rack of dress pants (that might have been scalped clean by now), and another rack of khaki pants (close to one of the sections with winter wear). All of these were on the second floor and for mens only. Women's might be on sale as well, but I didn't check.

You are right, there is no "BIG SALE" but you don't have to have a blow out sale to find great deals. In a place like BR, you don't have to have the whole store on sale. You just need to find a few items marked down 90% for the trip to be well worth it.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who made out well. 🙂

i didn't see the pants for $150 though, were they in the rack with the jeans and those twill khakis?

yeah it wasn't a sale per se. it was a clearance to make space for the new season's stuff (the section on the top floor far back to the right as you enter the doors.) like i said before, this is the largest store in the region, so the smaller stores send their excess inventory to this location, and they did these deep price kills to get rid of it to make shelf space.

this BR tends to do these types of price kills on the previous season's clothing when they are deep into the current season and they have a lot of excess inventory. it's worth checking the place out once in a while.

even though the deals were good (I wear large) all my friends who wear anythng less than medium didn't get anything 😛 I guess to get the best deals at a place you have to work there 😉
