Corsiar PC2400 not all can o/c

I just tried to o/c with my pc2400 256 DDR and it can't even get to 140mhz...

using a crucial pc2100, it works just fine... am I just the unlukiest bastard or what

No, I'm the unluckiest bastard (or unluckier, in this case) because I spent nearly $300 three months ago for Corsair pc2100 -- believing that because it's high-quality Micron mem that it ought to overclock. Wrong on that score too. Got some cheap Crucial coming that's supposed to o'c like a besterd!

sint PC2400 rated at 150MHz? Are you running it at 2-2-2? trying messing with that, you might be able to get higher MHz out of it

No, Corsair isn't a "Scam". They're fine modules which I've used for a long time. It's like anything else - luck of the draw. Just like a CPU. You never know how far they'll go.

That's ridiculous if true. It's rated at 150, it should run at 150, no matter how unlucky you are. And to think they made a bid deal out of their supposed 'hihg quality' RAM. What a joke.

If I paid $100 for 256 of pc2400, it better run at 2400

And Crucial only OC's "GOOD" if you like cas 2.5

I have an epox 8k7a, and I didn't mess with any multiplier and everythign so far is on auto in teh bios.. the only thing I changed was teh jumper on teh MB from 100 shped to 133...

and even with multiplier at 9, I have a athlon 1.2, and when I change the clock to 140, it won't boto into windows.. says some kinda o/c error... Id idn't try any number between 133 ad 140... whats the point...

anyways, this is just my experience...

the 2-2-2 settings? will that help? I think I migth be running at 2-3-2 if I know what you're talking about
