Corsair vs Crucial vs Mushkin...whats the diff?

I may be looking to add another 256 DDR 2100 stick to my system, I have a Crucial 256 in my system now and I was wondering what exactly, if any, differences there are between these 3 brands. I have heard of the Mushkin enhanced ram, but is it really necessary for someone who mainly plays games and surfs the net?

Are there any major pro's or cons to any of them?

There won't be any difference once you just plug the RAM in (difference between brands) but they are all stable high quality RAM manufacturers... the only real differences might be at what speeds the RAM would be capable of running at. I bet the Corsair runs the highest, then the Crucial, then the mushkin.. I've had Mushkin in this system, and I had to take it out because it couldn't run with the Crucial DIMM's.. but if you are just going to be plugging in a stick of memory and leaving it be, any of the brands would be good, although i recommend Crucial because it holds the best value, no question! Hope this helps you decide.. That's pretty much the gist of it!

If that's the case, then I'll just go with the Crucial. Don't do any overclocking or anything, so I'll take the basic stuff.

Basically Yields got it. As long as their high quality makers the only way they will differ is in overclockability.I personally though disagree with putting Corsair over Crucial. It allways seems that Crucial PC2100 hits the same speeds that Corsair PC2400 does but is significantley cheaper. I agree just go for the Crucial, they're da best if a bit expensive of late.

Regular Mushkin can't compare to Crucial or corsair...
Only the high quality memory should be bought for overclocking...
