Corsair ValueSelect

I want to buy 512MB DDR of Corsair ValueSelect (400MHz) for my Asus K8N motherboard. On Corsair website I can see two modules namely-
VS512MB400
VS512MB400C3

What's the differance between two?? I think it's something related to CAS Latency. One has 2.5 and other has 3. Which one is better for the performance?? 2.5 or 3???

Both of those modules will work fine on the K8N, the VS512MB400 w/ cas 2.5 is faster

Even the CL3 memory typically has CL2.5 chips & is recognized like that in the BIOS.

Lower is better. Just get the 2.5
