If you want to be able to take advantage of the Monarch low price but also procrastinate a bit before pulling the trigger, you can use the "save quote" feature of this vendor. Register, set up the order and then save it. Note: the quote option only shows if you register and are logged in. Then you have a week to decide whether to actually buy it at this saved price. This is particularly useful with Monarch, because they have a practice of slashing prices at odd hours, but then they take the item back to regular price after only a few hours. Don't ask me why.

Also, my regards to OP; I think he's figured a way to make competition work for us on some great memory. Ok course, now I have to see if I really need another gig of corsair.....

Justus:
Thanks for the info on saving the quoted price. I saved one for myself. I'll wait a little while longer before I pull the trigger on this one. Maybe it will go down a little more.

Can't find what you're referring to. Is it this? Advance 1 Gb
It shows up as 89.00 on their website not to mention this is high density memory, which is really the extra cheap stuff. It will only work in motherboards with certain chipsets. Also mixing the high density chips with low density, (128 x 4) and (64 x 8) for instance, isn't recommended plus it might not even boot. I bought a high density module and tried mixing it on my A64 board and it wouldn't even boot.

Link? I seriously doubt they are in the same league as the Corsair modules. No name, probably high density modules that most likely aren't compatible with every chipset.

Although I'm sure it will change again in like...a few minutes...NewEgg's price is down to 79.99.

No offense, but those are SINGLE 1GB modules and high-density modules are suck. They are nothing like this Corsair ram.

I love Monarch. They are my Newegg alternative since they have free shipping and no tax. It's perfect for CA residents. Most of the products I find at Monarch are always cheaper if you factor in the tax.
