Corsair SP 120 and 140 LED fans

Does anyone know if you are able to disable the LEDs by cutting any wires on them?

Reason is cos I want the fans to be in 1650-1500 range, when I down vote them to 7V, they be silent. 1100 rpm range fans at 12V are not quiet enough for me sadly.

the first question, i believe you need to break the led off.

the second question, makes no sense as you want them to be in the 1650-1500 rpm but 1100 rpm is not quiet enough?

Then why do you want them at 1650-1500 rpm?

Hi thks for the reply.

Basically in my experience, the corsair "silent" fans advertised at 1100rpm are still audible in my air-con room. However the usual 1650rpm fans downvoted to 7V are silent. I don't do any measurements if u get my meaning.

Has anyone "broken" the LEDs on the corsair fans b4?
