Why do companies keep making faster memory when we don't need it? So all of those overclockers can keep 1:1 on their P4?

Real progress would be a way to get PC4000 to run at lower latencies. It's nice to play the speed game, but with so many choices out there, it would be nice to see some high bandwidth RAM be tagged with lower latencies, like the OCZ Gold series....

yes low latency would be nice but you have to start somewhere,when yeilds get better then you'll see lower latencies.
