Long time Anandtech reader and forum browser but first post. I searched around a bit here but didn't see my specific question addressed.

I'm looking at 4 different brands all at about $80 shipped.

4-4-4-12 for all but the mushkin @ 5-4-4-12.
The mushkin is at 1.8V and the other 3 are at 2.1-2.2V.

All good brands I think. Which would you pick when they are all $80? Or should I look at something else?

Patriot

OCZ

Maybe too tall? Could cause problems around other components?

Any thoughts would be good to hear. I'm building with a Q9450, not sure what MB yet. I'm looking for a good deal on the IP35P but open to other ideas. Not much overclocking. Thanks in advance!

I was leaning toward the Mushkin for that reason. Will I see better performance out of the DDR1000? It is tempting for only $5 more and no rebate to deal with!

Since you're not overclocking much you're going to be hard pressed to see any performance difference between any of them, including DDR2-1000. I agree with n7's recommendation of the Mushkin.

If you think you might overclock the FSB past 400 MHz then I would go with the G.Skill he recommended. Otherwise, I'd stick to the 1.8V Mushkin.
