512MB PC3000 - Crucial or Mushkin, which one is best for a ASUS P4S533 with 1.6A P4 and Leadtek A250 video card?

Both are good companies with good reps...I personally would lean toward the Crucial RAM because of my previous testing Crucial is faster then Mushkin RAM by a slight margin

i vote for samsung PC2700. you can never go wrong for the quality or the price or even benchmarks. corsair is quality but alot of $$. mushkin is also aight.

I am considering the same mobo. I like the following RAM right now in this order....Crucial PC2700, Corsair 2700, or Samsung 2700. Hope we get some good advice so that I can decide also 🙂 I think I will buy everything else first and hope that prices continue to fall. 😉

I appreciate the input, curious though i requested info on PC3000, but every reply referenced PC2100 or PC2700. Is there something wrong with PC3000 memory, i thought it was better/faster. Help

I was looking at PC2700 because the specs say

<< Memory 3 x DDR DIMM Sockets Max. 3GB unbuffered PC2700 / PC2100 /PC1600 DDR DRAM (PC 2700 Max. to 4 banks only) >>

I would consider 3000 if it would be of a benifit but I have been looking at and priceing 2700.

Well I have a 512 stick of Mushkin level 2 (Cas 2-2-2 @266mhz) and it runs 2-2-2 up to 170fsb (340ddr) and it runs up to 220mhz (440DDR) at Cas 2.5-3-3~2.7v)
It was $199 shipped and had heatspreaders on it as well.
So far Im liking it
