Great deal on some quality memory. Crucial just keeps raising their prices. This is a great option for those who are looking for quality memory atm.

<< repost :)

they have 512MB PC2100 for $99 as well

happy new year
>>

Perhaps you saw the previous post in a dream.

Please point out the previous post as thorough searching in standard and advanced search found no mention of this price.
This was only mentioned in another thread, but the thread was not dedicated to this price, rather it was dedicated to the 512mb Corsair for $99 as it only mentioned in the header.
So your reposting the 512mb pc2100 price in your reply , as that has its own thread. Please dont thread repost
So in reality.. it is you who is the one reposting...rather than me ..............AH HAAAA! :D

Here's the link for the $99 for 512MB "Shecom" Brand DDR Memory.... Hanpan, never heard of that brand of memory so might want to do some research about them, before buying it.

Hanpan, the 256 is Corsair, the 512 is not. Both are good deals, but the Corsair especially so given what RAM prices are like everywhere else right now.

Corsair uses high quality Micron chips (same grade as Crucial from what I have heard). I just bought mine for $77 plus shipping at newegg a week ago. Now I'm angry I didn't see this deal in time.

Just FYI, Corsair makes two levels of RAM, normal and Value Select. I don't know the difference, but Value Select is a big cheaper (~15%), so this would be very hot if it were really non-VS (outpost doesn't specify).

Ok Chris, I guess you dont get it!
ITS NOT A REPOST IF THE THREAD DOESNT SHOW THE DEAL (Which I am posting here) IN THE TITLE LINE
And i already pointed out... it was only mentioned in that thread... not dedicated to it.
I am adament about this because it seems very ungrateful for users of the board to unjustly accuse a person of "REPOSTING" when they really arent.
:|

Also, BaseGrizzly si there a way of identifying the memory between Value Line and the Normal Corsair makes?
I already had this memory shipped to me, I would be glad to point out if it is or is not "Value Line" memory.

ez there big guy :)

couple of questions

1. how many sticks did u end up buying, and how do u like em :)
2. how does corsair compare w/ crucial and mushkin?
3. somebody said prices will drop later on this month...that's what i told myself when memory prices started going up :p now look what happened! do u have a reliable source?

thanks a lot!

There's a whole cadre of losers around here that just exist to put "REPOST" into every even marginally duplicative thread they find. It's probably a mild form of OCD.

Thanks for the note. I hope memory prices come down by March as I'll be upgrading then.

swz,

I was reading on a messge board in Taiwan, memory buyers/sellers/dealers, and they have been
hoping for the per chip (chips, as in what DIMMs have soldered to them) market to rise. It has, and
according to what is posted there, it has done so even more in the last few days. Elsewhere on this
Hot Deals board today, someone quoted a 30 increase in the prices of those chips, by Hynix. Based
on all of this, I think the popular memory will keep going up in price. As 333Mhz DDR (PC-2700) is
introduced and becomes more popular, perhaps PC-2100 will drop again but I wouldn't bet on it
happening soon.

I'm in the same boat as you. I was looking at PC-2400 Ocz for $37.99 a month ago, and didn't
buy it. Now, the low end PC-2100 stuff is what I am looking at, for 50% more $$. :(
