Question Corsair iCU 5000X & H150i LCD

I've got the parts for my new build arriving finally. For the case and AIO I have a question? The Corsair iCUE 5000X comes with 3 RGB fans mounted in the front connected to a power and ARGB board on the side of the case. The AIO H150i LCD comes with 3 RGB fans and its own control board with 6 available fans and ARGB slots. Can I take the 3 fans that came with the case and plug them into the H150i's controller populating all 6 slots, or do they need to stay connected to the control boards that came with the case? Thanks.

The case comes with a similar controller, allowing six fans to be connected. So you could just use that one or use the one that comes with the AIO.
