Corsair H60 is coming.

Looks to be alot more user friendly as far as the mounting goes. Wonder if they sacrificed performance for friendlyness?

Yeah, the H50 is easy to install the pump onto the CPU IMO. You did have a twist and lock system whereas this new H60 looks to be a straight on set down and tighten bracket screw type like most air hsf are. I'm guessing, from reading their add, that the real difference is a better cooling system that's more quiet than the H50. I have heard some people complain about a loud pump but I always felt they got a bad unit since mine is nothing like some have reported. Also they say their radiator part will fit 120mm case fan openings better than the previous model. I know some people complained about that when fitting it to their case intake/exhaust holes. And they made sure the mounting bracket fits all newer and older Intel & AMD mobos.

Basically its an improved H50 model in square form. Improvements are good though so its nice to see Corsair is trying to improve an already good unit. What I'm really curious about is a direct performance comparison between the H50 and the H60. Throw in the Antec version as well for good measure.

no they paird up with Asetek.

Antec was never in the water business, nor do they care to be on it.

But the only thing antec really offered was a failed alu radiator which would go with there cases in the 200mm fan department.

But once again... i say FAILED ALU RADIATOR.

also, aren't all the Corsair radiators aluminum?

Hardly. I have the H70 and it is a fun product to work with. In addition to the shortcomings discussed above however, the supplied fans are unecessarily loud. There is no way I willing to put up with that noise in a WATER cooling product. I had to swap out both fans and that made the H70 price less than compelling.

Looks like Corsair is also addressing the fan noise issue with the H60, so thanks OP for the heads up.
 
This may be my cooler when I upgrade. Quiet, with good enough performance for sb. Also I really like fully exhausting the heat from my case, keeping the rest of the system cool. Will be good to see other reviews as cooler reviews seem very variable.

WTF dude, your making no sense. How's it a fail product if it's basically the H series with a few tweaks. The company that helped Corsair went to Antec, and Corsair got a new company. So by that logic you think the H series are fail to?

Yes, I realize there are better solutions, but come on man. Do you honestly think someone that wants to test out water cooling is going to try something like in your pic the first time. Use your head man. They want something that is simple and fairly cheap to test the waters. Then they can move up to building their own or whatever in the hell it is you do.
