CORSAIR H60 in Antec 300 case

ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 and H60 water cooler, try to OC my 2500k. Anybody use same board and cooler? Any tips for coller install and OC on this motherboard? BTW I am using G.SKILL RIPJAW DDR3-1866 memery and Antec 300 case.

First, make sure the h60 fan is sucking in cool air from the outside of your case towards the radiator. It's actually quite a forward install.

I just got my H60 in tonight. Installed it in my Antec 900 case. I had to set the fan to intake or else the unit would not fit in the case without modification.

At 4.2Ghz, my temps went from 60C full load to 51C same load (LinX). Using Prime95, my temps went from 56C load to 49C same load. I am amazed how much of an improvement this was over my Zalman cooler. Never going back to air coolers again.

Air coolers are cheaper and perform as well...but man does the h60 and its brothers look clean in a case compared to monolithic heat sinks.

That alone was worth it for me. I had a tuniq tower sitting in an Antec 900. Literally no room at all. I went with the H60 and my temps dropped a bit, but my GPU temps dropped as well because of the improved air flow in the case.

If your case has the room I'd recommend using the the H60 in a push/pull setting. I would think the Antec 300 has the room to do it. You will get better cooling performance.

Yeah i love my h60, only real problem i have with it is that it's loud at default. I set my fan profile to keep it at 1200rpm until it gets around 40c then it kicks into high gear.

If its anything like the H50 you can replace the factory fan with a better after market fan that doesn't make as much noise and let it run as fast as it wants. Just a suggestion anyway.
