Eh, my total for one stick came out to ~$113 after tax (IL) and shipping. I previously found a deal for this that was $119 shipped and there is no error in the listing. Until more info from steelio, I think I'll hold out.

* Latency: 2-3-3-T1 (one module installed)
Latency: 2.5-3-3-T2 (two modules installed)
* SPD programmed at proposed JEDEC values for PC2700 (PC3200 not defined by JEDEC)

So that memory is CAS2.5 for dual channel mode. Also, it seems like that memory is PC2700 overclocked chips and not actual PC3200 chips.

No, there is no PC3700PRO memory from Corsair. PRO being the LED version. Corsair only makes 512mb, 1gig, and 2gig pc3200 or pc4000 PRO memory sticks. The Outpost listing is a typo, that's a fact. I'm just wondering if it is supposed to be the pc3200 or pc4000 stick.

The memory I listed from monarch is pc3200 stock.

EDIT: btw, on the official website it says the PRO sticks support 2.5-3-3-6 on AMD chips but I memtested my cmx512PRO pc3200 on my amd64 3200 system for over 10 hours with zero errors at timings of 2-3-3-6.

in that case, i think that it is probably PC3200 memory. not that hot of a deal then. I will wait on my order of 1GB PC3200 Kingston HyperX memory for $159.99 then. Its currently OOS but my order is on backorder, so hopefully outpost will get some of them pretty quick and ship my order. worse comes the worst, i will cancel it.

If this is PC3200 memory, then rather than spending ~$210 (no tax) - 230 (with tax), i would rather get some Patriot PC3200 memory for ~$220 which is Samsung TCCD chips.

You know what, I just found out from another person that there may actually exist pc3700PRO memory out there. He says he has it in his posession and the sticker indeed says pc3700PRO. I also showed him the link to Corsair's website and he says that it is probably just not listed. I don't know what to think anymore. I may actually try to buy two of these sticks now if they are XMS PROs.

and here's a little update-this memory definetly exists as listed on outpost,but apparently they're selling what is meant to be matched pairs as single items. don't ask me wtf is up with that. the memory is listed on corsair's site-but it's further down,in the matched pair section. and for good measure,here's a link to a brief review over at Tweakzone.

(now for the 3rd time: yes people this is Corsair LED RAM with a 3700 sticker, and 3-4-4-8 SPD)

I have no idea why they dont list it on the Corsair site, but it is real I have two sticks on this box right now that I ordered from the link at the top of the thread

If I had to guess, I would say why not. I just assume it will default the settings to the worse of the two pairs. But then again, that answer seems to simple...

ok GUNBUSTER,my bad,and duly noted. i was mainly trying to make the point that corsair does make a 512mb stick in that configuration with those timings-some people seemed to doubt that. the added leds are pretty however,and always appreciated. hows the mem working out for you so far,if i may ask. tryed to push it past spec at all?

Not had a chance to push it much, my video card does not seem to like high bus speed and the PCI/AGP lock does not seem to work.

running fine at 210MHz 3-3-3-6

2-2-2-5 on these sticks is probably not going to happen. If it were the xms low-latency I could see these timings.

thats what i want to know...what chips are under those heatspreaders...could be the same chips as XMX-LL or maybe some crappy chips.

I've searched online but it seems that Corsair used a very strong epoxy for the PRO memory. So a couple of people who reviewed it said that they couldn't get the LED's off.

I think someone should buy a stick and take off the heatspreaders at all costs, even if it means destroying the ram. I nominate gsethi.

If you did, can you post the revision # on the stick?

RamGuy over at Corsair XMS forum said that it's Samsung Rev E, so basically overclocked 5ns memory. These are the "eased latency" sticks which are meant to be used at high frequencies with lowered timings, insead of tight timings at normal frequencies.

They may not be able to run CAS 2.0.
