Does Buy.com suck?

Nope. They're pretty reliable. I buy stuff from them a few times a month.

Couldn't resist, pulled the trigger on the HX620 from Buy.com. I didn't get the $10 off for Google Check Out (since I've used it a few times in December for other Buy.com deals involving Google Check Out) but with free shipping, it still came out to about $144 after taxes, and $129 when I file the rebate.

I jumped on the HX520W....was planning on Enhance, but the modular PSU thing got to me (and since my SmartPower 2.0 is modular, it just make sense to get another).

I guess it's not bad...........if you don't mind noise coming from it under almost any load.

The noise has been described variously as "buzzing," or "It's fine on the desktop, but once you put it under load, it sounds like a colony of bees is nesting next to me.", or "You're getting bees? Mine sounds like crickets. I wonder which is more irritating."

There's a bit of a thread over at Jonny Guru's forum about this issue with the Tt Toughpower 750.

The only rebate I see is $15.00 and it's already included at the $150.98 price. Do you have another rebate?

I was wondering about that, too, esp. when a few posts above states:

Buy.com also has $15 off the Corsair HX 620
http://www.buy.com/prod/Corsair_HX620W_...CMPSU_620HX/q/loc/62100/203270718.html

With first time Google checkout, it will come to $109.99 with free shipping, which is well below other vendors while I've been shopping around for a PSU.

But, when you follow the link, it's the $150 price and nowhere can I find that $109.99 price. I get $10 off for GC, which brings it down to $155 before rebate and $140 AR, but that's nowhere near the $109 or $129 natak00 claimed.

Odd..........

Looks like buy.com upped the price on the HX620 last night so that's dead. Yesterday, Buy.com had the HX620 at $134.99 before the $15 rebate :x

The HX520 deal in the OP is still good if you are a first time Google Checkout user.

Hmm... hopefully by winter the 620HX will be sub $100 and the Q6600 will be $250. Hot deal on the 520HX though!

Seriously debating this one or a Fortron 600w unit for about $30 more. The Fortron features 4 rails @ 15a each, so its a better unit by just a slight bit. No SLI in my future, but the Fortron matches the blue color theme I'm going for as well (sad to say, I'm wrapped up in the looks a bit too much lately).
