Do these contain Micron D9G chips (from one newegg review they contain ProMOS chips)and is this memory compatible with the Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 motherboard?

will these work better on my Dell XPS 700 than the stock ram that dell gave me (i think those are microns)

i don't OC or anything. but Dell is giving all XPS 700 users a free motherboard upgrade later this year and that new mobo is reported to be EPP memory compatible

Nope. You'd need a motherboard that uses DDR2 memory.

I dont think they are micron d9 bro. If you check the ram list site, it is possible, but its just random luck. ----> ramlist It is possible to get them but....if you see from that site, youd have to get rev1.1, 1.2, or 1.4 to be micron d9. All the rest are a range from ProMos, samsung, infineon, elpida.. I suppose you could try to call up newegg or ZZF to see what the rev.# is on them, doubtful they will have access to that info though.

Thanks for heads up on the newegg price. What are they on crack? From $130AR to $250+? lol.. Gee tough choice, $129AR at ZZF or 250AR+ at newegg......which to choose...

There is some other memory that I believe, is possibly micron D9 that is on sale. It could be elpida though so.....YMMV. THis patriot kit for $125AR over at clubit--------> PATRIOT PDC22G6400LLK

Ironically, the only RAM module I've had die on me in the past 5 years was a "legendary" Corsair XMS.

Decent price though.

No it was $130. Look at the ZZF link. Its the 2048-6400C4 model#, Newegg had it for the same price, then raised it. It was the right link. I removed it anyways, since they raised their price.

I currently have
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145168

if I pick up the ones being listed here for $135.00 will they run fine together? mixing my current dominators and these ones being listed in here?

The ones i currently have now are promos and are not good for ocing, but is good memory....are the ones listed here good for ocing?

Is the ram listed here the same as dominators that I have now? or is the only difference the heat xchange path heatsinks that the dominators have?

thanks yall

Umm you wont be able to get 2 rebates bud. Unless the rebates states its good for 2 per household. I doubt it.

Do you have a friend or family member living at another address you can have order a kit for? That is only way it would work.
