Searched and didn't see it already..........

Outpost has a single 1GB strip of Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR RAM on sale for $85.99 and a $20 rebate, making it $65.99 AR + shipping. Product No. is CMX1024-3200PT. Cheapest I've found it is at ZZF for $102.

Link Here.

Don't order yet. Rebate form says it's $ 10 rebate not $ 20 as outpost website says. I was about to order, then decided to wait when I saw it.

Even without the rebate, price is pretty good. Newegg has these (looks like same part # except black) for about $115. After the $10 rebate, the stick will be cheaper than a stick of Corsair ValueSelect from Newegg.

Pretty hot!

That's a decent price for RAM - don't get me wrong - but what's up with Corsair calling standard CAS 3 PC3200 as "XMS?"

Just ordered that stuff this morning to go in my new system. Good price for those timings. Not sure how well it'll do on the EVGA board, since it seems to be crazy picky on RAM, but I don't plan to overclock much if at all, so no biggie for me, couldn't pass on the free board with the 7800GT deal from them.

It's a litle faster, but costs $30 more, and it's a $40 MIR. I couldn't resist though, and got it.

There are now 2 rebates totaling $30 bringing the AR price down to $55.99. IMO, a pretty warm deal even for CAS 3.

website won't add this item to cart. Says call CSR.

I did and was told there is only one rebate and it's $10.

Hmmm. You're right. They are advertising $55.99 as the final price but I DL'd the rebate forms and they both say max of $10.00 per household. Even the $20 rebate says $10. I should have checked into this a little further before posting. Sorry if I got anybody all excited. ;)

AMD Socket AM2 platform to launch on 6/6/6 and will use DDR2-800 MHz !!! This memory spanks DDR1 bandwidth big time, and AMD will also introduce new AM2 only CPUs like the FX-62 and 5000+ at the launch. Prodcution is starting in April, so guess what your DDR1 will be worth pretty soon.....

Quit threadcrapping with the DDR2 crap. Most people still use DDR1 so this is fine for them.

I think hes theorizing that the price for DDR will go through the floor once these new CPUs. chipset and memory hit the market. However he fails to realize that 99.9% of the market will still use DDR for about a year after these new things hit so their rapid decline in price theory pretty much sucks.

Actually DDR prices may go UP if manufacturers discontinue enough production lines.

True, I'm not talking about the price going down, what I'm saying is that you'll be stuck with old technology, while other people will have computers performing twice as fast for probably the same price. just wait until 6/6/6

Umm, what if you need memory now? So instead of buying memory now to speed up my computer, I should let it be slow now and spend more money later to get the newest technology?

Also to the person that said memory prices will go down, check to see how much PC133 costs compared to PC3200.
