I was overclocking from 170fsb to 185FSB and I got a msg about some file being corrupted in the windows folder (windows did not boot). I then Upped my CPU voltage by 0.1V and it seems to have corrected the problem. Does this mean that if I see this msg again during a further OC, it just means that the CPU is not receiving enough voltage (and I should add more voltage)?

Messages like that are common when overclocking and the system is not stable. It doesn't always mean it's due to the CPU, as it could also be the MB or the memory that is unstable.

However, since you raised the Vcore 0.1v, it likely means the CPU was unstable at the lower voltage.

What chip do you have and what voltage are you currenly running?

Sorry, I didnt mark down the full stepping before I attached my HS, But its a Tbred-B DLT3C 1800+ and the Voltage is now at 1.6V
