Corrupted MP3s are freezing my MP3 Player

Hello. Twice in the last week my iRiver H120 has frozen (I can only get it working again by sticking a pin in the "reset" hole) playing a song. Upon playing the song on my computer I see the music skips ahead at that point then cuts out, so I know it's a file and not a player problem (thank God). These were both files that I ripped from CD and encoded a few years ago (not downloaded). Must have a couple bad bits here and there that make them unplayable.

Is there any type of program that will search my HD collection to see if any others are corrupt/inconsistent so that my MP3 player is not incapacitated again? Thanks.

Yeah I had a hard drive get some bad sectors. I moved all my mp3s to a new drive. I would want a tool to do the same. Hopefully someone will suggest a tool.
