I was trying to oc my pc and then when i exit the bios and restart i get this black screen saying that windows could not start because a file has been corrupted. What could have caused this? I know about ocing an athlon64 and i made sure every setting was right.

What could have caused the file corruption?

OVERCLOCKING.

It's always a side-effect.
Just because certain settings work on another PC does
not guarantee that they will work the same on yours.

Not all Hardware is created equal in within the same
production values of a component.

If this is the first time you've corrupted your OS by overclocking...... then you haven't been overclocking much ;) If you are going to overclock you need to get used to it, keep a ghost image ready to just reload when that happens. It's also mandatory to have either a spare bios chip or a bios saviour because you WILL corrupt it as well unless you just stick to "safe" overclocks. You never know where the edge is until you cross it :D
