Corrupt windows install?

Been making a lot of threads on this board, but so it goes with a new computer build. Something's definitely wrong with my new rig. For one, about 60-70% of the time that I try to start up the computer it says Windows was unable to start, and prompts me to run the startup repair utility. Each time I run it it says that the problem cannot be fixed automatically, and has me do a system restore. This doesn't really help with anything, as the problem continues to recur.

Additionally, windows explorer will fail to open every now and then. I have to run this registry editor that I downloaded from Microsoft's site. It only takes about 5 seconds and it fixes it instantaneously, but this is still indicative of a serious underlying problem. I have had this issue twice now.

My sound is pretty buggy as well. I have to mess around disabling and re-enabling my sound card and the onboard sound on my motherboard before it will work again.

This sounds like a corrupt Windows install to me, but I really hope that there's something simple I can do that makes this all go away. It's a long shot I know, but I just don't want to re-download every single driver, game, etc. onto this computer. Thanks for any input. If you need any system specs let me know.

Backup and reinstall.

Past experiences tell me it's the easier route, even if it sounds awful at first.

Which SATA port is the SSD plugged into. If it is the non native one then switch it over, those ports can be buggy as hell for OS drives.

I would update the sound driver first. If it still persists, reboot the PC and hit F8 when it says starting to load windows. Then select disable restart on system failure. Now you should be able to see the blue screen when it pops up and see if it mentions a corrupt file. Google the file name if it mentions it.

I've run the CHKDISK utility already and it found no bad files. When I try to run the sfc utility in cmd it says that I must be an administrator in a console session. How do I start a console session? I've gotten BSOD a few times and all I was able to catch was "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_ERROR" or something similar to that. I'll go into BIOS to change the restart. Thanks for your help

PRobably a memory stick issue in that case. Test one stick at a time with memtest86+

To get an admin CMD prompt, search it, right click it and run as administrator.
