Sarah Huckabee bought a lectern (which has yet to be seen) from a friend. A friend who accompanied her on a high-end trip to Paris. Her friend's company doesn't even sell lecterns, yet sold one to the taxpayers of Arkansas for $19,023.17 with some questionable documents that were later altered.

An Arkansas resident and lawyer filed a FOIA request regarding this questionable purchase. Her response, call a special session of the state legislature to change the laws to block FOIA request in the future.

Sarah Huckabee could well find herself in prison after committing wire fraud, tampering with official documents.

Republicans just ain't smart enough to get away with even low level corruption... at least not this Arkansas hog.

From what I understand, the Freedom Of Information Act only covers federal agencies only. So it does not apply to state agencies. Each state can modify their state laws regarding information requests.

So lying sack of crap Huckabee, the one only tells the truth, and has nothing to hide, is modifying state law to hide information.

Most/nearly all states have there own FOIA as does Arkansas https://arkansas.staterecords.org/foia

What Huckabee did trying to block such public access when she got stung the typical reaction of politicians that want to rule, not govern and feel the public has no right to see what they are doing.

There are STATE level FOIA laws, and that is exactly the state law this Arkansas Sow called a special session to attempt to change.

And Sarah probably doesn't even break the top 50% of corrupt Republicans.

The problem is Sarah Huckabee is an idiot. Now, being stupid is not her fault. Blame her parentage if you want to blame anyone.

It's also not her fault she's governor of Arkansas. It's the fault of the residents in Arkansas for voting such a dumb lying sack of crap in.

What is her fault is trying to be corrupt, and doing it at a 5th grade level. Holy shit. If you're going to grift, cheat, and steal, at least be smart about it.

Looks like whatever infected Donald Trump's shit-fer-brain to make him such a dumbass has gotten hold of Sanders too. Makes me wonder if it's an STD that she got from the former Adulterer in Chief.

$19k lol

Politicians on both sides are corrupt as fuck. They literally have to be, it's a complex system of lobbyists megacorps mixed in with policy and you no joke cannot leave state politics unless you're playing the game. Well, other than trump, who instead of working the system for megacorps instead worked it for himself. But, he's the first person to get into big politics who was not completely 100% owned by lobbyists.

Honestly, $19k, I literally chuckled.

Like it or not....he is right. BOTH sides are corrupt as hell...but the (R)s don't even try to hide it.
Well....
Well.........

Something about corporate donations, super pacs and shit favoring Republicans 2 ot 1 over dems... I guess it aint corruption if its sanctioned by Clarence Thomas, but still, it's something.

Dark money on the other hand favor R at whooping 8 to 1 and that shit is just straight up Capone level stupid corruption.

So while you may say that BOTH sides are corrupt and be technically correct, you cannot imply that both sides is EQUALLY corrupt, cause that would be a straight up falsehood.

I guess a two time Trump voter who wants to vote for him again has to find some lie to tell themselves.

Only one party is trying to do something to stop dark money and reform campaign finance. Only one party has no intention of holding sitting Supreme Court justices accountable for what amounts to bribery/pay to play or at the very least, holding the top justices to a minimum standard is ethics.

You can claim “both sides” but as has already been mentioned, they aren’t even close to being the same…unless you are intellectually lazy and keep your head up your ass.

No we should blame Sarah for being a fucking evil psycho sociopath.

I know people who had shitty parents or super conservative fucking nut parents and they turned out way better.

She is evil as fuck and I know there are a lot of factors that were beyond her control but it's also her fucking problem too.

My issue is, Republicans are more corrupt than their counterparts. And yes, Republicans don't bother hiding it.

Corporations are not people.

Get rid of lobbyist.

Get rid of PACs.

Get rid of any ways used to make anonymous donations.

Take the money connection out of the game. All political contributions go to a clearing house and then is distributed to the recipient. Donors are still free to contribute but politicians won't know where money comes from.

That’s a very interesting idea. What does it accomplish though? Off the top of my head it would mean all donations are accountable. What else though?

What it means is people who normally get access to politicians by how much money they donate will no longer have that connection. Make disclosing the identity of donors to politicians a felony.

People who donate will do so because they agree with their positions. This should level out access to your Congressman/Senator
