Corrupt or missing file

I have a folder with a file in it, but when I try to delete it it keeps coming back. Don't worry, it's not a virus I know because it used to be a backup file for a game, but I guess it's now corrupted. Anyway, when I try to delete the folder it says "cannot remove "FOLDER" the folder is not empty." Currently it is in my recycle bin. Is there any way I can remove this folder?
 
If you haven't rebooted the system, try that first. If it still doesn't delete, then some program has the file open or you've got filesystem problems. Try running a scandisk, and also make sure you don't have any suspicious processes running. Try booting into safe mode if that doesn't do the trick. If all else fails, boot off a boot disk and delete the file.
 
Well I booted into Safe Mode and it went away, didn't involve any manual deleting. Well it's gone now, thanks guys.
