As promised, Adobe has shut down the link we used to use for Flash Player Downloads

This link has been decommissoned:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html --- link expired 08-16-16

Use link below for full downloads --- be sure to uncheck extra software offers
For some reason Adobe is now listing Flash under various operating systems,
but yet in the past the same flash player download installs fine on Win 10 or XP
so it is likely the same will continue. If not then you will need the OS specific version.

* * * Corrected link for Adobe Flash Full Installers as of 08-20-16 * * *

Scroll down, links are just after Section 8

Test your flash player here (and it will tell you which one you have)

If you need Shockwave you download it from here:
http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/otherversions/

Test your Shockwave installation here (and it will tell which one you have)
www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome

For Java you can get the updated versions from here:

Test your Java installation using this link:

Thank you. Now it seems like when you download the file from that link, you can't see which version of flash it is, which is unfortunate!!

Chief, You can see which version it should be on the page that checks your Flash version.
It will tell you what you have and list which versions are for which browser.
Also it seems this is going to be a stub installer, even though when you first go to the
page it looks like a 19MB download. But if you deselect those 2 unwanted add ons, it
goes to a stub installer .... I hope they give us the full links as it is much better.

You seem to be good at finding them. Perhaps you can find the way to full installers.

Yes, I saw that but I usually right click on the file to check details and now the stub doesn't seem to have the version number anymore...

I'll see what I can find, but it seems like adobe doesn't want anyone to have them anymore!

You can register for account to redistribute the files. But they will not take a Personal Email address.
But if you have a company one, then you can register. Macromedia should have a FTP Server
somewhere, but I am not sure where or if you need an account to get on it. Flash and Shockwave are
actually from Macromedia. Worst case we have to turn auto update on for these, but I like to know
beforehand what they are planning to install.

Surely somebody on a trusted forum somewhere has an account and would be willing to upload and post links to the standalone installers.

Don't see why that would be an issue. It is freeware and as long as you are not distributing it with software
that you may be selling it should be fine. As it is right now, most of the download sites, like Majorgeeks
or others usually host the links (which used to point to the correct full downloads at Adobe) ... Personally
I do not really care. Flash and Shockwave should both die off as they are the buggiest software ever designed.
Flash is on the way out, in favor of HTML5 .. Just a matter of time before everyone switches over to it.

If you don't want to install Flash you can always just not install it and keep Chrome around for times when you need it (or just use Chrome all the time) since it's built-in. I suppose Edge works too for this but you're limited with extensions currently (although Edge does now have experimental uBlock Origin support[1]).
