A.C.R.S., inc. has just received a bunch of corporate pulled 21" monitors. Corporate pulls are monitors that were taken straight off of somebody's desk...the company went out of business.

Viewsonic Q115 21" SVGAs with year 2000 date codes. These are all in mint condition & have the following specs: .26dp, 1600x1280 max res, 76Hz @ 1600x1280, 88Hz @ 1280x1024, 116Hz @ 1024x768 and 146Hz @ 800x600. These are beautiful monitors and are going for $125.

Call A.C.R.S., inc. if you are interested in purchasing any of these Viewsonic 21" SVGA monitors. 214-341-2852

I have no idea on the condition or stock or anything, i was just reading the site when i saw this and figured maybe someone could get a nice deal out of it.

Hopefully this works out for someone.

hmm iw ould be interested but most concerned about shipping on a 21" monitor. Any idea of the shipping , i notice the phone number is 214 meaning its a DFW area (local for me whohoo!) so maybe theyd let me pick it up..

So you're paying $125 + Shipping for a monitor that is 4 years old?

My company just bought 12 new 21" FLATSCREEN Viewsonic CRT monitors for $250 each.....

yeah it's twice as much, but you're getting NEW with warranty....worth the money...

My $.02

I think this is a hot deal if the company is a good vendor. I bought the 21" screen (not Viewsonic) I am looking at now in February, 2000. It was refurbished and cost $300 at the time. In the same week, my girlfriend at the time bought a Viewsonic 21" brand new for $960. They both still work just fine. I am tempted to buy this one Maleficus has been kind enough to tell us about for $115 and sell the 7 year old monitor I am using for a few bucks to someone who wants a bigger screen cheap before it does actually die. I think it's a really good deal and it's very tempting to me. Thanks maleficus

Also, I just checked pricewatch. The best price on there for a refurbed Viewsonic 21" is $235 (twice as much as this deal). The best price I see for a new one is $430. Wanna tell us where to get a new 21" Viewsonic for $250, souka?

Woa, sign me up on that deal. Where'd you get those bud?

we got them from CDW....prob got about 10-20% discount on their web price (which is often about 10-30% inflated over other on-line prices!)

If I can remember, I'll post the model # on Monday

There is no 21" Viewsonic monitor at CDW for 250$

The cheapest is 459$ and even with 20% off thats still 369$

maybe they also got a bulk discount, since they did buy 12 of them.

Thats what the 20% was for. to get it at 250 that's almost a 50% discount for 12 monitors and that seems rather unlikely.

No joke if I could get new 21" Viewsonics for $250 I'd probably buy a couple myself, not to sound cynical but the faintest odor of bs is wafting to my nose on that. 12 units isn't enough to net you a big bulk discount.

$125 for used ones is still pretty hot though, I'm not at all happy with my 19" Samsung LCD (it has burn in WTF?!?!) so a new 21" tried and true CRT is on my long list.

Probably a case of anal vocalism.

Optiquest line sucks. $125 doesn't sound too bad though. I'd definately get it over a new 17" for the same price.
It should cost around $35 to ship it with FedEx Ground.

This company is a very good, honest vendor. I've been to their computer store many times, they have LAN events. our counterstrike team won a few tournaments hosted by the computer store for a few thousands dollars and they paid up no problem. They host BYOC lan tournaments and provide monitors, and their 21" monitors worked fine. They have a large volume of monitors that they bring in on pallets. Their store is on the corner of jupiter and miller road in garland I believe.. I'm not familiar with the suburban dallas municipalities because I live in saint louis.

LOL! The last time I paid shipping on a 21" CRT it cost me no less than $55. You're looking at about 70+ lbs of monitor...

That would be Garland. Very very cool, that's not far from my house. I may have a look see, as a 21" monitor would be a very nice addition to my current system. Of course, the spouse may be a bit upset.... 😉

Maleficus--thanks for the post of the deal.

I just got back. Got two, one for my Dad and one for me. Looked just fine in the shop. Here are some specifics as I remember:

1. Ask for Robert
2. They have a 90 day exchange only warranty
3. Robert said they had tested each one, but he still booted each one up for me
4. $125 ea., plus about $10.31 tax
5. Nice little shop. Nothing fancy but seemed customer oriented
6. Shipping for each would be $25 for a special foamed box plus $25 flat rate for FedEx Ground
7. Both models are 21". When I left late this afternoon, he had (8) OptiQ 115 left and (20) Argon T109
8. I believe he said they would have a commercial site up next week www.mypcwerks.com

I probably won't have a chance to hook up tonight, but will try to on Tuesday. I'll try to post my results, if anyone is interested. Seemed like at least a decent deal for those of us in the DFW metroplex.

I've been using this monitor for about 8 hours, ran 3DMark on it, etc. No problems at all ('cept it is a heavy sucker). The brightness, contrast, etc. adjustments are easier than any monitor that I've had (once you figger out that the thumbwheel is the increase/decrease adjustment).
