Corporate Pest Control Chains Don't Want My Business

I have a squirrel living in my house. Neither Orkin nor Terminex have deemed me worthy of a call-back. Anybody have a recommendation for a smaller outfit?

Thanks!

Trap it then take the trap to a park and let the critter loose but warn him about the road this time!

Set up a trap in the basement.

Something like that works. Obviously, he's still alive, so drive him a long way off and let him out. If you want him dead, maybe a water trap.

Well, he's currently living in a hole he made right under the roof, about twenty five feet off the ground. We don't own a ladder that high.

I don't think you need an exterminator, but rather a contractor to toss a ladder up and plug the hole. It doesn't take much to scare off a squirrel, and I wouldn't think an exterminator would repair your house once he has scared away the squirrel. If he doesn't, either the same squirrel or other animals will just take up residence again.

Critter Control.

Thanks man, just got off the phone with their local office. They're coming over tomorrow.

They aren't cheap, and if you have recurring issues, you're better off buying your own traps like MotF Bane linked. That's all Critter Control's going to do - set up a bunch of traps, then deal with 'relocating' what they catch. The ones here charge a base fee, then so much per capture.
