Corona Queens?

A friend might be moving there, how is this neighborhood, relatively speaking? I'm from Staten Island, don't know much about Queens.....

I grew up there. Nice place. Very Italian and Hispanic. Also it's where Paul Simon grew up. If your friend moves there make sure you go to the Lemon Ice King. Best Italian ices in the world.

How long ago was that? if it's more than 10 years, times have changed. it's definitely not the nicest neighborhood in queens and fortunately not the worst. personally, i wouldn't want to walk there alone after dark.
