Cornhusker "deal" for all states!

Sen. Ben Nelson said Thursday he has asked Democratic leadership to extend to all states the extra Medicaid funding promised to Nebraska in the health care reform bill.

Seriously, this is total B.S. Who is Nelson trying to "fool"? Okay, all states should be treated equal, Nebraska should not be getting a special deal to buy his vote.

But to try and pass off a "deal" extending to all states? It just means we pay more taxes at the federal level instead of the state level, and the federal government control over health care grows even larger! Where's the "deal" for the public?

Yup. Taxes should be taken in in a greater quantity at the local level and taper off as you go up the ladder. This way, there is greater accountability, greater control, and spending doesn't turn into a political favor.

It all boils down to the (federal) government wanting control of YOU. After all, one size does fit all, doesn't it...

Nebraska ranks 38th with 1,711,263 people and will require 100 million over 10 years.
Now 1.7 million is about 0.48% of the total population.
So to expand the handout to every state would cost..........ya.......
