Corey Dillon to the Patriots

Definately a good move for the Pats. This gets them a feature back, for very little. They also are restructing his contract.

This is a good move for the Pats. Dillon can be a selfish jackass and a locker room cancer, but for a 2nd rounder you can just tell him to walk if he starts being a problem.

The Pats aren't going to get anyone as talented as Dillon at that spot in the draft.

The same thing was said about Marshall Faulk when he was Indianapolis. "Locker room cancer, selfish jackass, etc etc". I'd be frustrated too if I had to play for the Mid 90's Colts, or the Bungles.

yeah i think that is a good move on the patties part.
they have 2 second round picks and traded the first for dillon.
wow.

Exactly. Which is why I think it was a good move for the Pats.

I don't know. Recently, the previous season champs (and runners up) have done awful. Of course, this means absolutely nothing. Heh.

I always liked the yardage he would pile up (except for last year) for my fantasy teams.
A super move by the Patriots.

I don't know what to think of this deal. I love the talent that Dillon brings. He is an absolute stud on the field, with incredible talent, and and he's a bargin at the 56th pick. At the same time, this is generally not how that Pats have done things under Belichick and Pioli. They usually go for a guy who fits in with the team well, which is definitely not Dillon's mantra. But, until it is proven otherwise, in Bill we trust. I have to give this deal the thumbs up. Also, it means that we could really do some fantastic things in the draft with the RB need out of the way.

espn is ragging on the bengals for this deal, but i dont get why they are saying that...just last week they were saying how we were asking too much when we were holding out for a 3rd round pick...guess people are just pissed about how great of a deal it is for the pats...but we will see if Leon is still not happy he can piss a lot of people off

This is a ridiculous trade, the Pats really made out omg... Cincy must have been desparate to get Dillon out of there for this price... :Q

no one wanted him, no way the bengals would get a first round pick for him...so i dont know what u are talking about...and he was not coming back to the bengals.

It's not a bad move for the Bengals. You have to realize they got a 2nd rounder for Dillon and now they don't have to pay his salary (remember in the NFL there is a cap). Added to the fact that they have Rudi Johnson and Dillon probably would have sat rather than played for the Bengals again and Cincy got what they could out of a bad situation. It is also a great deal for the Pats who added a star to their backfield. Bengals have a lot of picks now and could be tough this year (depending on which direction they decide to go at QB).

The QB is Palmer. period. Marvin Lewis said there will be no QB controversy
