corel draw 11 issues

intel celeron d 3.0ghz
512 ddr ram
asus mobo not sure what model
80 gig hardrive

my coworker uses corel draw 11 and adobe photoshop cs9 v2
for his artwork
his monitor randomly shuts off but the pc is still running while running both of those programs. What could be the problem ?
hardware or software?
