anyone know the difference in overclocking potential between these 2 versions of the e4400(2ghz 10x multi):

SLA3F (L2) 1.162 - 1.312 V
SLA98 (M0) 0.962 - 1.325 V
wiki info

i went to the hardforum core2 overclocking thread and it seems the few people that did overclock this processor used the L2 version, is it because its a better overclocker or just easier to find?

M0's are the newer version, that's supposed to be overclocking better. It's the 2MB cache version of the G0 stepping. Of course, with any overclocking, your mileage may vary. But the M0's should overclock better, or at least as high, and likely with less vcore.

Shouldn't make any difference with these lower priced CPUs. Nominal 3.2GHz. A good chip can hit 3.6GHz with 1.5Vcore. Thermal will be a big issue at elevated Vcore.
