Hope I'm in the right place...
I want to replace a 500Mhz Slot 1 processor with a 700MHz Slot 1 processor. What I have noticed is that the 500Mhz processor I have is 2.0 core volts but the 700Mhz processors I have seen are typically 1.65 core volts. Does the motherboard or some other system component automatically adjust the voltage to the processor or must I always use a 2.0 core volt processor. The motherboard is an old Tyan Tsunami ATX (S1846).
