Core i7 Temps Question

I just built a new box using a Core i7 920.

Using realtemp, I see that Cores 1 & 2 idle around 32 C, while Cores 3 & 4 idle around 28 C.

Is this normal? Or did I possibly not apply the thermal paste right?

I'm really just curious because I suppose there's no complaining about those idle temps.

What cooler are you using?

I have a 2C spread and I pretty much just ignore it. But what are your load temps? Those are more important.

I'm using the latest Noctua.

After running Prime95 with 8 threads maxing the CPU out for an hour, Cores 1 & 2 max at 60 C, while Cores 3 & 4 max around 58 C.

yeah. It's pretty normal to have a spread like that. Must be if it can be Aigo'd away.
