P6T Deluxe

Whats the difference between P6T and the Deluxe Edition?

For P6T and Deluxe

Regular 6USB 2.0 on back
Deluxe 8 USB 2.0

Regular 1 Lan socket
Deluxe has 2 Lan sockets

Also P6T has mounting holes for both 1366 and 775

Also, the P6T Deluxe has a SAS controller.

The P6T non-Deluxe supports Socket 775 coolers, NOT an actual Socket 775 CPU. It allows you to keep your 775 cooler when you upgrade to 1366. Not always recommended for some coolers.

What are you going to be doing with this computer? Overclocking? Gaming? What is your workload going to be?

Intense gaming and overclocking for better perfomance. My plan is to set CPU to 3.5 GHz. I need a very good system so I can max out things in game and I also love to create levels for games, like Crysis and Half Life 2. I have everything, except the MoBo.

3.5GHz isn't very intense, but do you want SLI or XFire? PhysX?

The eVGA X58 is a nice board if you want SLI. They're coming out with a classified version (formerly FTW)

The P6T Deluxe is what I have. A nice board but only supports SLI or CrossFire and not Tri-Fire or Tri-SLI because of slot placement. Decent overclocker. Now supports 24GB. I don't know about the Gigabyte.

I have a GTX 280, so no extra card for PhysX is needed. As for SLI maybe a 2nd card in the future, i´ll not get a third cus my power supply will be 850w. And I think it´s better to get a DX 11 card in the future than to buy another old card.
