Built a new system. It is completely stock right now, and I was just trying to make sure the build was stable before I start overclocking. Seems to be ok most of the time when just using normal applications. When I tried to run Everest System Stability test, it would either freeze up completely, or restart. The prime95 small fft seemed to run ok, but when I tried to run the blend torture test, the same thing would happen as well. I ran memtest86+ 2.11 and it went through many passes with no errors detected whatsoever. I'm not sure what to do at the moment.

Thanks for your help.

Check your temps at all times with RealTemp or CoreTemp. Try the Small FFT again and report back with load temps.

Edit: Also, if you still can, send that PSU back and get a Corsair, bequiet, Silverstone or similar instead of that OCZ piece of crap. They use cheap Chinese transistors on their latest models. It could well mess up your system, too, if it's faulty.

I have the same problem now. I started with a Corsair 650 W and upgraded to a Corsair 850 W. Same problem...

Mine is the same, no overclocking. and I know what to do. Sending it back to MWave (very good to deal with) and getting either a GB or an ASUS.

Also, I've read about lots of heat related issues withe the IOH on the Northbridge Which is right behind the hottest part of the video card. It was hot to the touch and hot on temp monitors. I directed fans right on it and brought temperatures way down and still rebooted almost emediately

There is really no way of telling without data. The ICH can handle temps even above 80 dergrees quite well. But it heats up the socket of the CPU as well.
