Wow... were they drunk?! A 750i FTW and Q6600 for i7 920 and X58 is a hell of a deal.

its a friend of a friend, works at a PC shop and gets stuff cheap. and he was only playing WoW and CS:Source, with an 8800GTX, so this i7 and bloodrage was overkill for him. he had a 4.4ghz profile saved on here for a D0 chip but I didnt even mess with that, im happy at 4ghz now :D :D

I had a hell of a time getting my Q6600 stable at anything over 3.4ghz with all 4 sticks of ram in, it neede at least 1.6V to be somewhat stable at 3.75 ghz

hell yeah nit is :D:D so easy to get there too :D my Q6600 gave me nightmares and kept me up at night just thinking about what to try on it. i hated that thing. and my gskill ram i had wouldnt run stock 1066 speeds, had to run it at 1008mhz, when trying to go for 3.6+ghz on the Q66 id have to have the ram at like 800mhz on a 3:2 divider with the CPU

not no more :D :D :D i7 FTW

Very nice! But can you build a Hackintosh out of those parts?

I have not seen too many X58 mobo's that can do this and am wondering, thanks.

Very sweet. It makes my e-peen (Q6600 @ 3.6) tiny in comparison. Time to upgrade again, I guess. :p

To get the inlet and outlet where he wanted them? Who cares?

Well, in reality, it's not oriented incorrectly, unless you count upside down. But since the i7 core is a monolithic core, it really doesn't matter if the block is "right side up" or "upside down," as he's got it oriented perfectly with the clamp, with the GTZ script being parallel to the clamp as it should be. So what if the water enters from the "opposite" side than what is expected, it still performs perfectly fine in that position.....

true, only thing is the inlet hose cant be swapped for the outlet hose because of the insert that helps spred the water. as long as the water inlet is where the DOT is on the top its fine.
