Core i5 650 or i7 860?

I have been sold on gigabyte boards dating back to my first core 2 duo. My next system whether it be an i7 or a hexcore AMD will only be on a Gigabyte board.

As the owner of two Gigabyte boards, I will say that I like them both. The reviews say these OC well, from the UD2's on up.

I like the software that comes with it. I can adjust my fans easily from inside windows. I also like the BIOS. It's pretty straightforward.

I would recommend UD3P/3R and above for the full sized MB, the UD4 for the micro form factor: the UD3/UD3L and UD2 do not have cooled MOSFET's.

Actually, I think if my wife wouldn't kill me for it, I'd even now buy an i7 875K - Newegg has it on 24-hour sale for $329. An unlocked chip allows you to OC with ta high multiplier while holding the BCLK down. That saves voltage, and hence you get lower temps.
