My motherboard allows me to set the ram speed to an exact number, rather than having to use a divider. If I want to run at 667, I just type in 667 and thats the speed it runs it at.
I can run DVD shrink on my Presler @3.4ghz as well, but over all, the pentium-m had the best single core time, so a core duo @2.4ghz should be faster for DVD shrink than either the X2 at 2.6ghz or the pentium-D @3.7ghz.
I should be able to get my core duo in a couple weeks, and with the Dothan doing so well at DVD shrink, I'm looking forward to it even more now.. but either way, the 805 should be a nice improvement over your single core.
