Core/Clock speeds for a 5600 U?

Can somebody help me out here please? I just bought a used PNY 5600u (from another forum) and was told the core clock speeds were 400/800. According to RivaTuner they are 234/798. Why is that? Am I reading it wrong or is something wrong with the card?

Thanks :)

Try using a different program to give you the speeds, some can report wrong numbers.

OK, I found the latest coolbits and added it to the registry. It is clocked at 235 in 2D and 400 in 3D. LOL, what's that all about?

It reduces the clock speed for 2D applications where you don't need the extra speed, to reduce heat/power consumption. It means the fan can go slower in 2D mode and be quieter, because the card needs less cooling. It increases to 400MHz when you want to use it for gaming.
400MHz is what the rev2 5600U should be at (in 3D mode), and 400MHz (800MHz DDR) for the memory. Seems fine.

You can download Powerstrip, it'll give you the accurate reading and will let you O/C it as well.

Coolbits will let me overclock it also. I believe it just enables the overclocking option that is already in the Nvidia drivers.
