Core 2 Quad Q6600 vs PS4/XB1 CPU?

Any guess on how this CPU from 2007 stacks up against the octa-core Jaguars in the PS4 and XB1? I'm curious because my little brother's PC uses my old Q6600. It's got a higher clock speed (2.4 GHz vs PS4's 1.6/XB1's 1.75), though it's a Dell so it can't be overclocked, and obviously it's got half the cores/threads. I'm not sure how the IPC of Conroe and Jaguar compare.

Completely ballparking this here, but I think that the Q6600 would win in single threaded tasks and draw or lose in multithreaded tasks. Roughly.

This article compared a Kabini laptop with a Pentium 2020M (dual core Sandy Bridge running at 2.4GHz): http://www.anandtech.com/show/6974/amd-kabini-review/5 I'm using this to guesstimate performance figures.

(Side note: I'm rather annoyed that Anand has never added a Kabini or Silvermont CPU to his Bench tool. I use that very regularly to compare products, and to make recommendations to people on whether or not to upgrade. The CPU benches go as far back as a Pentium 4; it would be a real shame if they died off.)

EDIT: Forgot to mention that the Kabini in that article was running at 1.5GHz.

I think the Q6600 would be a better PC gaming CPU, but overall the console CPU have theoretically more performance for MT.

ST performance is significantly higher with the Q6600, but it's 8 vs 4 cores...
Q6600 runs at 2.4GHz, the PS4 CPU at 1.6GHz, and Jaguar is not faster per clock than the Q6600, it should be close (at same clock), but no higher.

if you could overclock the q6600, it would probably be close in a lot of multithreaded situations. If the program supports AVX and scales to 8 cores, I think the jaguar would easily be on top though.

I would gladly take the 2 jaguar modules over the Q6600. It is so much more power efficient, and more threads.

If I was playing games that were bottlenecking a thread, the Q6600 would win.

the PS4 CPU runs at 1.6GHz,
1.5GHz quad core Jaguar scores 1.5
1.6GHz would probably be something around 1.6
8 core 1.6GHz Jaguar maybe around 3-3.2?

Q6600 at 3GHz achieves around 3.3
stock around 2.7

considering most PC software is not going to scale as well as CB with 8 cores, Q6600 should be better (if you exclude power usage)
