Core 2 Quad Q6600 vs Phenom X4 9850 both overclocked?

Ok, I've been reading a bunch of reviews of the Phenom X4 9850. Now, I know we all want AMD to succeed and be competetive with Intel once again. All of the reviews I've read have been either stock 9850 and stock q6600, or stock q6600 and overclocked 9850.

I'm certainly not going to base a purchase decision on benches from a stock q6600 and an overclocked 9850... So my question is... has anybody found a review with overclocked benches from both the q6600 and the x4 9850?

I know their prices aren't the same, but I just don't think it's fair to see a bunch of benches from the 9850 overclocked, and then the q6600 at stock.

I don't know of any reviews that have compared the two overclocked, but it's not going to be a close fight.

Q6600 will hit 3.6GHz regularly, while it seems the X4 9850 will hit around 2.9GHz on average and 3GHz with very high voltage. Given Phenom is around 10% slower clock for clock on average, the Q6600 will probably be around 30% faster when both CPUs are overclocked to their max. If you overclock the NB on the X4 9850, it should become a closer fight, but you're still looking at a solid 25% advantage for the Q6600.

All right. Thanks for the quick response. I know I've seen benches of the q6600 overclocked, but I just didn't want to have to dig them up and then compare them to the reviews of the 9850 I've been reading. That was very helpful. Thank you.
